I aim to be as flexible as possible when it comes to the care of your beloved dog. Everyone’s circumstances are different, so whether you are looking for the reliability of being able to arrange a walk or visit on an ad-hoc basis with minimal fuss, or you would like to look into a more regular arrangement with me.
ABOUT THE OWNER
My name is Rachael and I’m the owner of Walking Paws. I am a fully accredited and experienced dog handler and behavior consultant. Allow me to tell you a little about my background, since I am potentially going to be looking after your beloved friend.
When your dog is in my care, they are treated like one of my own and safety will always come first. With two dogs of my own I understand what is involved in earning your trust.
In my adult years, deciding to get a dog led to big changes in my life. In a roundabout way, it led to me living on the side of a Colorado mountain in a teepee for nearly 2 years while looking after 35 wolves, not to mention a whole new career.
Stuff You Should Know
It is very important that your dog gets to know me and we have a relationship before embarking on a walk. I will, therefore, on the first couple of visits, take the time to get to know your dog within your home.
Cookies, sausages or cheese?
We are firm believers in positive reinforcement. We used the tastiest of treats, the type of food reward we use will be of your choosing. If your dog has a sensitive stomach or you prefer us not to use food reward then that’s fine too.
Rachael has over 10 years experience of professional dog walking, a diploma in Dog Psychology, is an Associate Dog Listener of Jan Fennell, is CRB checked and fully insured.
